=========================================
Watch for other, extended software packages from the author. Or, if
you like, send a self-addressed, self-stamped envelope to:
Michael Gillum
20806 S. Western Ave. #1
Los Angeles Ca. 90501
(213) 787-9461
to obtain a complete list of available software and prices.
Some of the available items are:
TAM
o TAM is a phone book manager that assists in maintaining
addresses and phone numbers. TAM will dial for you, keep a log
of the numbers you call and track the duration. TAM prints
mailing labels in an assortment of sizes and multiple
quantities. If you have a laser printer, TAM will print
envelopes in two sizes.
o You can have as many individual telephone files as you wish.
Each file is limited in number of records only by the amount
of installed memory in your machine. Generally, on a computer
with 640k ram, 1200 or more records can exist in each TAM
file.
o TAM supports script files (that you create) to automate calls
made to services that require tones for manipulation of menu
features; Banks, IRS, Technical Support, and many more.
o TAM has a "reminder alarm" that allows you to set a time for a
specific event, then rings to alert you.
o With inclusion of CALLCOST, TAM will provide you with rates
for calling any area code/prefix in the Los Angeles (Pac-Bell
ZUM [Zone Usage Measurement]) area.
HEM
o HEM is an Entertainment Library Manager. HEM helps you keep
track of your cassettes, compact disks, videos, diskettes, and
television program scheduling.
o The cassette and compact disc library manager maintains song
titles, authors, and tape/disc space; The video library
manager maintains titles, descriptions, tape space and type;
The diskette library manager maintains a catalog of files,
volume label, diskspace, and remaining free space, and can be
built simply by inserting floppies in the floppy drive; The TV
scheduling manager maintains information about TV programs,
such as: time, date, channel, program length, description,
year made, and reminds you of special programs you want to be
sure to watch.
SAS
o SAS was designed to simplify the task of keeping track of your
finances without requiring you to have a Doctorate in
accounting. The main principle I kept in mind while designing
SAS was "maximum output, with minimum input." One should not
have to spend endless hours navigating through complicated
procedures just to keep track of ones money.
o SAS allows you to have as many account files as you wish, each
with up to 100 user definable accounts.
o SAS is a "double entry" system.
CALLCOST
o CALLCOST is a program that helps you analyze zone 1, 2, 3, and
toll calls based on Pacific Bells ZUM (Zone Usage Measurement)
territories. With CALLCOST you can immediately find out if a
call is local - and if not, how much it will cost to call
during all time periods.
o CALLCOST was written based on the need, and the consequential
confusion, in finding locations and respective charges for a
given prefix. Los Angeles, being the massive metropolis that
it is, with its endless array of numbers both in and out of
ones calling area, demands either a computer for memorizing,
or lots of "stik-um" for the fingers when turning pages
searching for local calling areas.
o Unlike similar programs, CALLCOST allows you the flexibility
of updating information as Pacific Bells rates and ZUM
territories change. Callcost will show you all the prefixes
that exist in your local calling area and automatically
updates itself, as you make changes to either the ZUM file or
the particular record. You have complete control over the
numbers in your calling area, the ZUM territories as defined
by Pacific Bell, and the rates assigned for Zones and Toll
calls.
o All information is entered by you and based on the same data
that Pacific Bell provides in either the Yellow Pages or White
Pages (depending on your locality). By entering this
information into CALLCOST you will not be fumbling with many
cryptic pages of information or making cross references trying
to find the cost of a call. CALLCOST simplifies the task for
you.
CAS
o CAS is a Calendar/Appointment/Alarm program that offers a
perpetual calendar showing dates for holidays and important
anniversaries/appointments.
o The alarm in CAS can be set for a variety of purposes, and
shows a constant "countdown to zero hour." Holidays,
anniversaries, appointments can all be maintained in an
easy-to-use format and easy-to-access method.
System Requirements:
All programs will run on the IBM PS/2, PC/AT, PC/XT, PC, PC/Jr,
